There are two separate halls – Hall of Glitter and Hall of Brilliance – one showcasing Gold Jewellery and the other Hall showcasing Diamond Jewellery besides a separate A.C Hangar for Machinery. There would be a separate Kerala Pavilion showing light weight gold jewellery. Similarly, there will be jewellery manufacturers from the South showcasing typical South Indian designs. You can also find filigree and handcrafted work from Kolkata. Star attraction is also the Gold Chain and Jewellery Manufacturers from Mumbai – some of the top names are participating. Manufacturers also from other towns like Rajkot, Surat, Meerut, Amritsar, Agra – each reflecting their own tastes and designs. The best of Diamond Jewellery and Platinum Jewellery will also be on display besides Silver Jewellery. All in all truly a complete jewellery show to service the needs especially of the South Indian Jewellery market. Seminars: Interesting subjects which are relevant to the trade will be discussed by the experts giving a value addition to the whole exhibition. Seminars will be held at the Convention Centre, Chennai Trade Centre on Friday, 15th February from 3.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. & on Saturday 16th February from 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. & 3.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Glamourous Fashion Show: A glittering show with models & choreographers from Bangalore will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre Convention Hall at 7.00 p.m.on Saturday 16th February.
Organised For the Trade & By the Trade: GJIIE is organized by the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Merchants Association – one of the oldest jewellery associations in the country. They are organizing this exhibition because there was a long felt need in the South Indian market for a quality Business-to-Business Trade Fair on jewellery servicing the needs of the ever changing and vibrant jewellery market in the South. The first two years success of GJIIE has adequately proved that GJIIE has truly arrived and doing its job well of fulfilling the needs of the Jewellery Retailers in South India.
